I am very pleased to see how well Opera Touch is designed in terms of practical usability. To switch back to the mobile view, uncheck the Desktop Site option in the Opera Touch menu once again. Simply tap Desktop Site in the Opera Touch menu the browser should immediately restart the site in desktop mode. Installing the desktop version instead can save the day, and it’s pretty easy to do with Opera Touch. Sometimes mobile sites may not work well and the functionality they offer is quite limited. Within Opera Touch Settings, tap Translate Language and then select your preferred language. You can also change the default language Opera translates your web pages into (default is English). Open the website in Opera Touch, then tap Translate when prompted to do so. Access any foreign website and you can translate it quite easily. Opera Touch is really not as simple as you might think. Within Opera Touch Settings, simply turn off the toggle next to Top Sites you will no longer see them. If you don’t find the feature all that helpful, consider disabling it to allow your starred sites and pages to stand out. The Opera Touch Home screen offers a mix of preset and frequently visited sites. Not as useful as the custom bookmark function, but still a good alternative. You can also find the site or page in the special Starred section of the main Home screen in Opera Touch. To do this, open the Opera Touch menu, tap the star-shaped icon, then tap Add. However, you can save your favorite sites or pages for faster access by ‘starring’ them. And that means it largely lacks certain features, with the exception of the bookmark. Opera Touch’s primary purpose is to provide a great one-handed experience, rather than being a full-fledged browser.
